McGrath & Pender Residence
By the river @ Salt
Set by the Cudgen river @ Salt in Kingscliff . The owners having travelled extensively, really wanted that personal touch when it came to building their home. Lifestyle Joinery was contracted to design, manufacture & install cabinetry and appliances.
As all involved would agree, the’ red room’, was a bold response to a general study room. The South Jarrah complemented the striking surrounds of the fireplace and striking red painted walls.
The kitchen made clever use of Laminate & Engineered Stone bench tops, accompanied by self closing drawers, and touch release overhead doors. Which proves that simplicity, and good design can stand the trends of time.
The bathrooms had granite stone from North Queensland transported down specifically for the project, and brings that luxury feel to its environment. The overhead units where finished with glass mirror, mixed with touch release doors for more storage.
A Wet Bar upstairs is a clever way of looking after guest and creating more space for storage. Having a sink, microwave, and bar fridge separate to your main kitchen will always come in handy.
The project was made possible by, Chris Lillis of Elevation Architecture Studio , Luke Fitcher of Hammerhead Building Projects, Peter Coppleson of Red Empire constructions.
